Kids are the greatest joy you can experience in life and likely the potential for the greatest heartbreak. It’s true that you never really understand how much your parents love you until you have kids of your own. My kids are 18 months apart and are very close.One is an MD and the other a CPA. More importantly, the are nice and caring people, fun to be with. We now have a beautiful granddaughter who once again reminds me of the essence of parenthood and the sacrifices parents make for their kids.

Children reflect their parents and become their legacy. So when you ask whether you were a good father or parent, you look at your kids, the messengers we send to a time and place you will not live to see.

You are lucky you have great parents, as am I. Cherish the time you spend with them.
